Your Past Does NOT Define You.

Freddy dedicates his time now to learn more about how tramas and abuse affects the minds of children early on in their development, And its effects on their outlook of life coming into adulthood. As well as furthering his speaking and advocacy career to reach his goal of telling his story to 100,000 people on how if one puts the mind to accomplish something nothing can stand in your way of achieving it! Freddy enjoys meditating; it’s one of his most practiced techniques for self discipline. Especially when he first wakes in the morning and says “it’s one of the earliest commitments i took on my journey to healing that showed results very early on”.

"Freddy is an amazing young man with great ambition and a promising future. I have known Freddy for almost two years, and in that time, he has shown determination, commitment, and a positive attitude as he focuses on his career path, while uplifting peers and colleagues alike."

Ian Welsch, Founder & CEO of The Motivational Edge

"I had the honor of interviewing Freddy Trujillo for a school project discussing incarcerated youth that once were or currently are in the foster care system. Freddy was able to share with us his own personal story of how he entered the foster care system and became integrated into the juvenile justice system later on. Hearing his story allowed my team and I to understand the depth of the issue at hand - that so many foster youths have no choice but to resort to need-based crime and thus enter the juvenile justice system. By discussing the all-too-common pipeline that occurs between the foster care system and the juvenile justice system, my team and I were able to form the foundation for our plan to help these children in need. Thank you, Freddy!"

"Freddy is one of the most authentic people I know. His ability to connect with people is outstanding and his desire to make an impact on the lives of everyone he meets is undeniable. While he may be young in age he is wise in his words and thoughts. He has lived more than many and has the scars to prove it. I have tremendous respect for him and feel honored that he chose to share his story with me. "

Nelson Hincapie, President of Miami Dade College Foundation

"After meeting with Freddy Trujillo my team and I were moved by what he had to say about his experience in the foster care system. Freddy helped my team and me to understand what happens when a child is placed in foster care and the trauma that most kids will endure. Freddy was a great help in giving us a jumping start with our project. He helped us to look at different ways the foster care system could be changed."

"Good evening Freddy Trujillo, my name is Jasmine Gonzalez. I had the pleasure alongside my team throughout our competition to speak with you. The foster care system consists of many complexities and nuances resulting in young, innocent children suffering throughout a majority of their lives. Freddy Trujillo, you have given me great insight, not only into the foster care system, but a universal perspective on exchanging and learning the delicacies of each person’s story. You have taught me to be grateful, kind, and respectful towards each individual I communicate with and be open-minded to their story as I was to yours. Additionally, you directed me and my team into the creation of our law; addressing the judicial system and how foster children are treated within the judicial system. Your story was ultimately inspiring and I assure you that you shall be successful with your future goals and plans such as your novel and website. I wish you only the best in your future as you teach others of your story."
